As a nurse Lanie is used to having to think on her toes, but when she meets the hunkiest man ever her world is spun upside down. At the beginning of this story you get a good sense of how great a person Lanie is and she doesn't let you down throughout the entire book. I really loved how she no only came on to Wes once but twice the woman had guts and I really liked that about her.Wes has found himself in a predicament on involving a laboring mother in the back of his ambulance, but when an angel in the form of Lanie shows up to save him he can't help but fall hard for her. A player by reputation I couldn't help but fall for the great guy everyone got so wrong. Sexy as sin and sweet as can be Wes made for the perfect man that Lanie so desperately needed.
The newest installment in The Fated Series was fast paced but no less appealing as the others. I hope there are more stories in this series.

This was a great short story to read while i was waiting in the DRs office.I loved the other Fated Series books so i was so happy to finally get to read this one.From the first page to the last page it was a great read.
This is the type of book that's a good time killer. If you're sitting in a doctor's office or on your lunch break this would be the book for you. It took me about 30 minutes to read. It wasn't complicated or full of emotional drama. No outrageously kinky sex scenes that might have you squirming in your seat. Just a short story about two people brought together by Fate. Loved how the epilogue wrapped things up in a realistic way!
MELT WITH YOU is a hot and sweet story that I enjoyed reading. I loved Wes. He is a wonderful man who loves with all his heart and has found the one woman he wants forever but his past may keep her away. Lanie is a strong and smart woman who goes with her gut instead of listening to others. Watching the sparks between the two grow into so much more was a nice read. The two make a wonderful couple.
I was pulled into their world right from the start and only wish I could have stayed longer. Once I sat down to read this book I was glued to my seat till I turned that last page. This is a book that should be on everyone's tbr list.
How completely delicious! This was the perfect short read--two likeable characters (Wes, a hunky paramedic trying to live down his "super player" reputation, and Lanie, a soft-spoken labor-and-delivery nurse recovering from a divorce from a cheater), seriously combustible chemistry, and a pleasing cast of supporting characters. Quick but splendidly satisfying, this is the fourth and latest in the Fated series, and we see a glimpse of the characters from Simple Twist of Fate (Fated #3).
Ms. Erickson's characterizations were terrific--it was easy to sympathize with both Lanie's self-preservation instinct and Wes's desire to be known for something other than a "bad boy." And of course, their irresistible attraction was undeniable!
I've enjoyed Ms. Erickson's writing in the past and am definitely reminded to collect the titles I'm missing from her backlist!
I really enjoyed the role reversal in this one. Wes is the bad boy who is trying to turn his life around and settle down. He knows he is getting too old for the one night stands and no strings sex he had in the past, and wants to find that one special woman who will see past his reputation. When he meets Lanie, he hopes she will be that woman. But when she drags him into the hospital supply closet and gropes him, he walks away without giving in to her. There is something about Karen Erickson's novellas/short stories that leave me feeling satisfied and content every time I read them, which is rare in a short read like this. She seems to know how to do it just right when it comes to the romance, storyline and characters to make it work and stick. And this one is no exception. Though it may be short, this was just what I was looking for in a quick steamy read.
We have a hot paramedic, Wes, who is known as the playboy. For the past year, Wes hasn't held up to his name and has decided he wants to settle down soon. In comes sexy nurse, Lanie, who helps Wes out in an emergency situation. After moving and getting over a bad breakup, all Lanie wants is a quick steamy one time affair. But once united, will Lanie fight fate or will she take a chance with her sexy paramedic?
This is a very quick short read, at about 40 pages. As short as it may be, I did enjoy it very much. I seem to have a thing for Karen's novellas/short stories (which is saying something since I'm not one to read novellas). There's a very smooth, free flowing, comfortable feeling about her writing style and I like it a lot. I can only imagine how much I'll like her full length stories. I bought another two novellas by her the other day and can not wait to read them as well.
